Concrete formwork near Aston Grove
This photograph shows workers constructing the concrete hardscape areas for Aston Grove. Formerly James W. Aston Park, this small pocket park at the corner of North Harwood Street and Pacific Avenue was folded into the design of Pacific Plaza to preserve the 23 mature live oak trees and increase the footprint of the park.

This video shows a portion of the Pavilion panel production. Designed by HKS LINE studio and manufactured by Zahner, the 323 aluminum alloy, bead-blasted, perforated panels make up the Pavilion shade structure. The perforation tells the story in American Morse Code of Pacific Avenue's history as a rail line in the Texas and Pacific Railway that ran from 1871 to 1976.
